The library has a chalkboard mounted on the outside of the building and will make it available in order to fulfill its role as a source of community information. Use is subject to the following:

1. While postings are primarily intended to promote local cultural/educational events or announcements from local non-profit groups, they do not preclude messages of an individual or commercial nature (e.g., lost pets, yard sales, etc.).

2. Announced events should occur within 2 weeks.

3. Certain restrictions apply to the messages which are displayed. Disallowed messages are those that do not fit within the library’s role as a source of community information, including, but not limited to:
•Partisan political material
•Petitions
•Surveys
•Obscene or offensive material

4. Library staff will monitor posted messages and erase those which do not conform with these guidelines.

5. The library trustees do not endorse and are not responsible for any non-library events or messages posted on this board.
