Minutes for Fitzwilliam Library Trustee’s Meeting, April 29, 2013

Present: Barbara Green, Richard Mays, Nick Noyes, Cathie Talbert, Susan Massin

Absent: Maggie Brogdon

Library Director, Susan Massin, tendered her resignation, effective June 28, 2013. With “great reluctance” the trustees accepted it. After 31 years of service Susan feels that this is the right time for her to leave. Programming is effective, the physical plant is in good condition and there are two “very strong” library associates in place.

A discussion followed in which the trustees reviewed possible timelines, job profiles and composition of a search committee. This was a preliminary discussion as the trustees need time to review all the materials pertinent to a search process before making any decisions. Future search committee meetings will soon be scheduled.

We adjourned at 7:02pm.

Our next regularly scheduled meeting is May 6, 2013.
