We approved the July 5, 2011 minutes.

Book Drop – After discussing the many drawbacks we agreed to wait until after Susan attends the library coop meeting to get input from the other libraries in our area.

Website – The site has been successfully updated. The calendar as well as a link to pictures of events are working. Trustee meeting minutes will be posted beginning with these minutes.

Upstairs Paintings – Susan will meet with Kerry Shrives to discuss selling some of those in storage. We will hang the painting of the local author upstairs with a display of her books.

Upstairs Cleaning Project – Barbara will ask Kerry Shrives about the value of the china that is in the closet. Some items are being given to the historical society. Paperwork older than 10 years will be discarded. Some items to be sold as “white elephants” at the Book Sale.

Summer Reading Program – Attendance was down this summer. A storyteller on Thursday, Aug 4 will be the final program.

Circulation numbers – On line renewals are not being counted with the new software.

Shelving – Friends of the Library purchased shelving for the closet in the meeting room and for the upstairs storage. Recommended moving one wooden shelf from upstairs to relieve crowding in the Mystery section.

Art Shows – Leary reception on Sat, Aug 13 will feature many 3-D works. Discuss whether to have art shows next summer at a later meeting.

Library Policies – We reviewed and approved our policy for the use of the meeting room. We reviewed and approved the internet usage policy.

We need to find out if the self-closing mechanisms on the entry doors can be adjusted.

Book Sale is Sat, Sept 17.

The trustees signed the manifest and the meeting was adjourned at 7:15 PM.

The next meeting will be Tues, Sept 6 at 6 PM.
